WEITERMACHEN means Keep Going. It's a phrase close friends and I say, when things get difficult or complicated.
I had the idea for this box a while ago and finally realized it.
This WEITERMACHEN box contains around 80 sheets of 100% recycled paper. It's 110g/qm, 12x24cm (4,72x9,45inch) and Made in Germany. The title is hand-stamped and the box is made of grey cardboard by me.
You can write down ideas, your shopping list, a love letter. Or you can make paper stars.
Endless possibilities. Keep going.
WEITERMACHEN reminds you to just keep going even if things get difficult in life.
Just do it. Don't stop. Follow your dreams and ideas.

There is a white horse in my garden
2016 09 29
Two years ago i was so crazy to buy a little old house with a garden in the middle of nowhere.
It’s a magical place with a lot of atmosphere and a lot of bricks and wood that need to be reconstructed..
I know this village since years and take many of my photographs there.
To support the restoration of the cottage I did this book and a print.
All these pictures are mobile phone pictures from my house and the garden and the village.
It’s a photo album in the same style i sometimes do for friends and family. The book is completely handmade.

During this summer I took photos of my garden and other gardens for the japanese Union Magazine.
"In the words of Stephen Shore: “To see something spectacular and recognise it as a photographic possibility is not making a very big leap. But to see something ordinary, something you’d see every day, and recognise it as a photographic possibility – that’s what I’m interested in.” This sentiment perfectly reflects the nature of Anne Schwalbe’s work, of her ability to make the dramatic out of the ordinary."
"Garten" is also the title of my new project. It's about gardens.

MISS READ: The Berlin Art Book Fair 2016

The Miss Read Artbookfair in Berlin was really very nice and I had a lot of fun. I took care of the books of Bücher und Hefte Verlag and presented my own books and Special Editions. Akademie der Künste in Berlin - this is such a beautiful building with a very nice garden. And in the evening of the last day i saw coincidentally that Kofelgrschroa were having a concert at Akademie der Künste! My very favourite music right now... http://www.kofelgschroa.by

zfm Zeitschrift für Medienwissenschaft is a german magazine about media science. With a lot of text and very few pictures. This time with a selection of "Wiese". On this occasion I printed some new meadows in the colorlab: Wiese LII and Wiese LIII and some others which has no name yet. Thank you Petra Löffler for the text and Lena Appenzeller for the Layout!
From the text by Petra Löffler:
"Anne Schwalbe nimmt das Gewöhnliche nicht für selbstverständlich." / "Anne Schwalbe does not take the ordinary for granted."

I just found out now that Ryan Willms of Inventory Magazine recommended my work again, the first time in 2012..
Thank you very much!
"Berlin-born photographer Anne Schwalbe recently put a pair of new prints up for sale on her website. Her work is very serene, capturing the simplicity of nature's small beauties and putting them through subtly altered states as part of the printing process."
2016 03 02
This week I spent some days at golab, preparing big Prints for AIPAD in New York. Galerie f5,6 will show there my work again. I also printed Wiese LIII, that means I continued taking pictures of meadows. And I also really like "Pfütze", the puddle, from my series Perle.
2016 03 01
There is a selection of my series Vulkan oder Stein in the march issue of chrismon Magazine. It's always a pleasure to work with that magazine.
