For SZ Magazine I photographed a story about fragrances and flowers. It was really a pleasure to work with flowers again (i worked as a florist some years ago). I took the photos at Garage 50, a gallery at "Fahrbereitschaft" in the east of Berlin (not far away from where i grew up).

I took a portrait of Ken Adam for Monopol Magazine. "Sir Ken Adam is one of the most innovative and most influential production designers of our time. His sets for Stanley Kubrick’s DR. STRANGELOVE (1964) and the James Bond films from DR NO (1962) to MOONRAKER (1979) have written film history."

Now at Galerie f5,6 in Munich: Konstellationen. Artists of the gallery were asked to invite an artist of their choosing with the purpose of showing their works side by side.
I asked my dear teachers Ute Mahler and Werner Mahler.
Because they are great and teach more than just Photography.

When i was in Japan last year in spring i stumbled upon this great bag of Kazumi Takigawa at a great store in Tokyo - Rectohall. (Recommended by my great bookdistribution twelvebooks). Rectohall is in the same area in Tokyo as those wonderful places like BEARD and Post. I bought that bag immediately and it made me happy. So simple and so perfect. Then i contacted Kazumi Takigawa and now i am more than happy that i will photograph all her bags soon.
"Kazumi Takigawa's line of dyed and waxed canvas bags take their inspiration from the plain brown paper bag. Wanting to mimic the look of ordinary brown paper bag while creating something re-usable and long lasting Takigawa's experiments led her to a process that includes a traditional dyeing technique and the use of tea and coffee as dyes. She produces each bag by hand in variety of shapes and sizes. The dyes are not completely colorfast and the color will fade to a softer light tone over time." http://www.analoguelife.com

My exhibition at the wonderful Museum Schiefes Haus in Wernigerode (Germany) is extended till 6 March 2014.

I think i never mentioned that but it's a detail i really like: The book of the Special Edition of Wiese XXI-XLVIII is wrapped in a vintage paper bag. I found these bags at the museum Pfarrwitwenhaus on the island Ruegen in the Baltic Sea in the northeast of Germany. If you should ever be there, you should visit this museum. Right behind the museum are hilly meadows. The grey cardboard envelopes (Graupappe) for the prints are made by a bookbinder in Berlin. As always the print is done by me at a colorlab.
